January 2007Happy New Year This month two colleagues, based at Sure Start and myself, are planning two sessions at Holy Family with 13+ aged pupils about teenage parenting and negative and positive parenting. We have also been involved in delivering a presentation on the benefits of 5-a day and ideas in cooking different vegetables at the Lowfold Family Centre in Keighley. I am also still carrying on attending Health drop in centre, the Antenatal clinic, and Hamera Waqt. Having qualifies now I am also doing 3-4 hours work a week as a Health trainer at the Sure Start Rainbow Children's Centre, Braithwaite on Thursdays from 9-12:30. This is where I support people in making healthy lifestyle changes. |
