September 2006

At the moment, I'm preparing for an interview for the Health Trainers course on Friday 8th September but carrying on with all my other activities. I am supporting people at the antenatal clinic at a doctor's surgery between 9-12 and at the health drop-in at the Highfield Centre clinic between 1-3pm. The antenatal sessions have included a video on the benefits of breastfeeding, antenatal checklist and any other advice or concerns. I've also been helping at the playgroup and crèche.

Hurrah!!! The good news is that I have been accepted on the health trainers course, which starts on the 9th of October and finishes on the 5th December running two full days a week.

I must keep my feet on the ground, and remember that I will also still be supporting home visits with my colleagues and updating birth details, by phone, for the database.

Courses this month:
  • Selective mutism
  • Promoting fruit and vegetables as part of a balanced diet.
