I have decided to start up some new projects and groups at the Sangat Centre to fill in some of the gaps that we have here at Sangat and to address some of the issues I identified, having done the Self Care course (See February's BLOG).

First of all I started a TIME OUT YOUTH CLUB (TOYC) for girls and also a Young Mothers Social Club.

All month I had been working to get TOYC of the ground, by contacting other youth organisations and doing research on the internet, to see what kind of services can be provided at the Sangat Centre TOYC for the youth of the community.

I also helped organise and ran a seminar called Women Speak. This project aims to facilitate opportunities to highlight, champion and advocate on behalf of South Asian Women, as active citizens of Bradford and be the voice of other women who are unheard.
