Whinfield Community Centre's summer activities for young people, was initially an idea of the Community Development worker at the Braithwaite and Guardhouse Community Association (BGCA). The Health Apprentices team was asked to help organise it, in partnership with the BGCA. Everyone put a lot of hard work into the preparation for the event and it was a major success. Over 140 young people came to at least one of the activity days. There were a lot of healthy activities available for the youngsters such as fruit tasting session, vegetable tasting session and smoothie making. As well as this there participation activities such as nail art, mehndi, reflexology, colouring and painting.
