November 2006This month has been busy as usual; it has been really busy due to the 2006 Mela held at the NEC, Birmingham. I organised for two coachs to take almost 90 people to go to the event. It was run at a weekend and was organised a family day out and, as you can see from the numbers, was very well attended. Mela '06 presented, as the publicity goes, "the ultimate in entertainment, fashion, shopping, food & opportunities! With Saif Ali Khan, Kajol & Ajay Devgan all the way from Bollywood! Exclusive collaboration by Hunterz, Hadiqa & Ali Zafar of Pakistan and our very own homegrown talent The Rishi Rich Project, Hard Kaur and comedian Paul Chowdhry!" So there was lots to do and see!!!!!!! Mela is a Sanskrit word meaning 'to meet', used to describe all sorts of community celebrations and festivals in the Asian subcontinent. |
