About Asma

Hi! My name is Asma Koser and I am a Health Apprentice. I am an outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people. I am 18 years old and the youngest of the 12 Health Apprentices. My placement will be with Airedale Primary Care Trust.

I am really looking forward to working with Airedale PCT staff. I will work with qualified staff and take part in events such as promoting healthy eating, walks, things that can prevent you having high blood pressure, being diabetic, heart attack etc. These are just a few examples of what I will be involved in. All of the healthy issues will be for all age groups, not just older people but everyone in the communities.

Before I joined KVS and Airedale PCT I was at home for a few months and worked part time at a nursing home. I took a year out of studying, so that I can work in the same field as I was studying. (NVQ 2 in Early Years Care and Education) Unfortunately I could not find work in this area so I ended up doing some voluntary work. I then decided to look at other careers and here I am.

I am hoping that when I finish the Health Apprenticeship that I find a good job that will be involved in promoting healthy lifestyles.
