In this BLOG I'm writing about one of the Pensioners who comes to the Centre.
She is a diabetic and asked if she could have a biscuit, as she needed to eat anything sweet, as her blood sugar was too low. I do know about diabetics as my husband is one and he has to keep his sugar level under control. Sometimes diabetics, like the pensioner, have to eat 'sugary' things to balance their sugar levels. She also explained she has to inject insulin herself but my husband keeps his diabetes under control by taking tablets.
Now I seem to be getting on a lot better with this pensioner and she is now talking to me about her health issues. Sometimes it can be hard telling people but she must trust me enough to tell me and I'm happy with that. I know what she is going through because I'm going through it with my husband and have done for over 5 years.
