Youth groups
This month I have been continuing with my existing work with the two Youth Groups (the 13-19 at Hainworth Wood Community Centre and the 13-19 at the Bangladeshi Community Association) I have also set up new youth group for 8-12 years old at B.C.A I have got about 12 people regularly involved in this programme and I hope they will be doing some community cohesion linking work with a similarly aged group, called LEAP, from the Fell Lane area of Keighley in the near future.

Over 50's
I am still regularly attending the Over 50's Luncheon Club at Hainworth Wood Community Centre. We have about 10 - 15 regular members attending each week, where they get a chance to have a massage, seated exercises, a quiz and a healthy option lunch. With this group, we like to send out a health message with the healthy option lunch and doing things like the armchair exercises.

Neighbourhood Action Planning (NAPs)
We have finished doing the consultation in the five NAP areas; through the consultation process in these areas around 400 local people identified their priorities, which has helped determine the amount of money that will be available for each of the 7 themes *. I will be helping a couple of groups apply for some of the money to do some projects in their area. There are also two new NAP areas, which will be eligible to apply for this money.
The existing NAP areas are:
Braithwaite/Guardhouse
Branshaw/Fell Lane
Eastwood
Hainworthwood/Parkwood
Stockbridge
The new NAP areas are:
Bracken Bank
Highfield

Others
I have also been involved in organising a table tennis class at Hainworth Wood Community Centre. The club runs a weekly basis on Wednesday evenings. It has had a bit of a slow start but we will be looking to recruit more people soon.
